Escondido

Many townspeople and tourists choose to hike to the waterfall. It will take 3.8 miles round trip. The journey will begin from the highway, then there will be an uphill climb and a walk past the extravagant residence of Malibu. After this, the road descends sharply and the beauty of Escondido Canyon Park and the forest reveals itself.

For example, by choosing the path of Moon Ridge on a sunny day, you will be able to walk along the roads covered with bushes. Fans of Disney westerns or classic Crockett will definitely appreciate this trail.
The Moon Ridge Trail intersects with the Tepi Trail. The traveler will pass a house with an incredible view of the Arroyo Conejo Canyon. Right next to it is Paradise Waterfall, a 40-foot cascade that is impressive at any time of the year, especially during the dry season. The water in this place is not very clean, so it is better not to swim there.
Once on the Wildwood Canyon Trail, you will be able to return to the entrance. Adventurers can choose the Indian Cave Trail, which leads to the cave. The tunnel in it is quite large, so it is possible to pass through it. An interesting fact is that there are still those who believe that the cave tunnel was used by the Chumash Indians. The Indian Creek Trail will be a good way to enjoy not only nature but also birds. There is no better place to observe them during the migration season.
The road to Paradise Waterfall takes an average of 1 hour. Still, you can always linger to wander and explore the area better.
Eaton Canyon
The natural area of the Eaton Canyon Falls is an impressive and quite popular place. Among the visitors, you can see families with children over 5 years old. The main thing is to get ready for this trip. When planning it, take care of shoes that can withstand moisture because there are at least nine river crossings along the route.

Sturtevant Falls

Solstice Canyon Falls is an interesting and enjoyable place to explore.
You will follow a winding path in the shade of sycamores and oaks. Then you will see Roberts Ranch. It is also called the Tropical Terrace. The house has its own history. It was built in the 1960s and 12 years later it burned down in a forest fire.
Near the Ranch, hikers will encounter exotic plants, pools and a 30-foot-tall waterfall with a hidden statue of the Virgin Mary.
